Signature Name
Recognition Quilt Activity

Signature quilt blocks are a popular
block.
Years ago quilt makers made these blocks and had
friends sign the the
center rectangle as remembrances. Print a page
for each child. Have
them color it. Write their names in the center
rectangle. Glue a photo of
the child on the small square. Laminate both
the the quilt block and the
small square with the photo.
If you would like, you can mount the quilt blocks on
a wall as shown,
putting a solid color of construction paper between
the blocks to make a
quilt. Put Velcro on the photo piece and on
the quilt square. Have the
children read the names on the quilt block then have
them find the
corresponding photo and velcro it in place.
